Ascension Parish slaying suspect indicted

GONZALES, La. (AP) - An Ascension Parish grand jury has indicted a 20-year-old man accused in a May 4 slaying at Suthern Kumfort's Lounge in Prairieville.
Assistant District Attorney Ben Johnson tells The Advocate the grand jury returned the second-degree murder indictment Thursday against Zachary Pusch of Prairieville in the death of 28-year-old Willis Tanner IV of St. Amant.
Sheriff's deputies have said that Pusch severely beat Tanner, a patron of the club, after an argument in the parking lot near the club door.
It was not clear whether Pusch has an attorney.
