Crowley Police say a man intentionally set his own house on fire. On March 30th, in the 100 block of Pintail Drive, police received a "disturbance call" around 3:10 a.m.
Officers said when they arrived at the home, smoke had filled the residence. The fire was extinguished with minimal damage, and everyone escaped safely.
"The investigation revealed that one of the occupants of the residence had intentionally ignited the fire within the residence while another occupant was present. The suspect was not present while officers were on the scene during the investigation" stated Chief KP Gibson.
39-year-old Louis Harder was booked into the Acadia Parish jail and charged with Aggravated Arson. He allegedly poured gasoline inside the home and another occupant witnessed the act.
