Arrest made in weekend hit and run accident

An arrest has been made following a hit and run accident in Iberia Parish Friday night. It happened off Highway 85 in Iberia.
43-year old Lisa Mayon is facing charges following the death of 59-year old Russell Lewis of Jeanerette. Troopers say Mayon charges include hit and run driving, having an unsafe vehicle, and no insurance.
State Police got an anonymous tip two days after the crash and made the arrest.
Mayon was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail with no bond. This case remains under investigation.
