BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Baton Rouge police officers arrested an 18-year-old man accused of fatally shooting a 16-year-old boy while the boy was walking home on June 12.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely tells The Advocate Isaiah Combs was booked Wednesday with first-degree murder.
McKneely says police arrested Combs shortly after someone provided a tip to a member of the Baton Rouge Area Violence Elimination Project.
On June 12, Cameron Phillips was walking home with a group of other people when he was fatally shot.
McKneeley said a motive was not yet known and he could not confirm whether Phillips was the target of the shooting.
