Arrest Made in Polk Street Homicide

A Carencro man is charged with murder in connection with the body found Monday on Polk Street. The U. S. Marshal's Office arrested 26-year-old Kyle James Toups in Newton County, Texas, last night. Investigators say Toups fatally stabbed the victim, 24-year-old Michael Luke Darby, during a fight early Sunday morning. Toups is being held in the Newton County Jail until he can be extradited back to Lafayette. The case remains under investigation.
