MONROE, La. (AP) - Monroe police have arrested a man accused of the beating death of Edward Charles Scott in July.
The News-Star reports 31-year-old Mori Turpin of Monroe was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center Tuesday on a charge of second-degree murder. The other suspect accused of Scott's murder, 23-year-old Drukile Kyson Dunn of Madison Parish, was arrested July 22.
Turpin had been sought by investigators since the July 19 beating of Scott.
It was unclear whether the suspects have attorneys.
