TALLULAH, La. (AP) - A Lake Providence man is in jail, after his arrest on two counts of second-degree murder in connection with the deaths of two women in Tallulah.
State Police say they booked 27-year-old Walter Walker into Madison Parish Jail Tuesday night.
Eighteen-year-old Nikesha Washington was found dead in a wooded area behind Wright Elementary School on Saturday. Nineteen-year-old Jasmine Smith was discovered behind a chain link fence in the back of Tallulah City Park.
No other information was available on the suspect or the case.
