LOCKPORT, La. (AP) - The Lafourche Parish sheriff says a 34-year-old man has been arrested in the November deaths of a woman from Lockport and her two children.
Sheriff Craig Webre says David Brown was booked with three counts of first-degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated rape and aggravated arson.
Webre said on Wednesday Brown was arrested in November in a separate incident of unauthorized entry and simple battery.
Browne was booked in the death of 29-year-old Jacqueline Gautreaux Nieves and her two daughters -- 6-year-old Gabriela Nieves and 20-month-old Izabella Nieves.
Detectives say each of the victims had been stabbed at least once and their home set ablaze.
It was unclear whether Brown has an attorney.
