In Monroe, Louisiana, a 15-year-old West Ouachita High School
student indicted in connection with the second-degree murder of his parents will be arraigned on Sept. 22.
A spokeswoman with the Ouachita Parish District Attorney's Office said the arraignment date was set Wednesday afternoon.
The teen is being held at the Ouachita Correctional Center. His total bond is $2.5 million.
Ouachita Parish deputies arrested the teenager Friday without incident at school in connection with the deaths of his parents, Johnny and Tammy Fletcher.
A grand jury indicted the 15-year-old on two counts of
second-degree murder on Monday. There are reports that the case was transferred from juvenile court after the grand jury decided he will be tried as an adult.
