Arnaudville woman accused of attempted 1st degree murder

A 23-year-old Arnaudville woman is accused of attempted first degree murder after she allegedly struck her boyfriend with a vehicle.

According to police, Thursday morning, Sunset Police received a complaint from the victim that he received injuries after the driver, Chestina T. Clark, struck him with a vehicle.

The victim told police that he and Clark got into an argument while driving from Lafayette to Sunset. The victim allegedly got out of the car in Sunset. Clark then struck him with the bumper of the car knocking him to the ground. The victim went to a local hospital with minor injuries.

Clark was booked into the St. Landry Parish jail, charged with attempted first degree murder and unlicensed driver.

Police say the incident is under investigation and more charges are pending.

No bond set at this time.
