The Town of Arnaudville is having a planned interruption of its water system on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 8:00AM to tie in a new line and install a fire hydrant. The interruption will affect some sixty (60) customers in the northwest area of Town on West Railroad from Pine to Guidroz (Hwy 741), and Guidroz (Hwy 741) from East Railroad going West including Pt Claire Apartments, Blanchard Drive, Verna Drive and up to the SLEMCO Substation.
The project will cause the water system to experience low pressure in the affected area. Therefore, as a precaution, the Town of Arnaudville Water System is issuing a BOIL ADVISORY beginning 8:00AM, May 28, 2013. This BOIL ADVISORY is to remain in effect until rescinded by the Town of Arnaudville.
It is recommended that all customers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:
Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a tolling boil. The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one container to another, or by adding a pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.
Again, please be sure to disinfect your water prior to consumption until you have been advised otherwise.
The Town of Arnaudville will rescind this Boil Advisory upon notification from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals - Office of Public Health that samples collected from our water supply system have shown our water to be safe.
