Armed Welsh man arrested for alleged intent to distribute crack, pot, & meth

Welsh Police Department announced the arrest Thursday of an armed Welsh man officers say intended to distribute crack cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine.

The arrest resulted, officers said, from a "knock-and-talk" discussion at a Kennedy St. residence. Officers had responded to complaints by neighborhood residents who expressed concern about drug activity. During the investigation, officers were given consent to search the premises and arrested Kendrick Brown, 36, after discovering "numerous types of narcotics."

Officers charged Brown with Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute , Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession Meth with Intent to Distribute , Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Narcotics, Possession of Schedule one and Schedule Three Narcotics and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Brown was transported to the Jefferson Davis Parish Jail, where he was booked pending bond.
