Monday should be sunny and mild following a very pleasant weekend. Early morning temperatures were still running about 10 degrees below normal, but afternoon highs should be in the upper 70s, nearing the normal of 81 this time of year. A light onshore flow will return tonight so temperatures will only drop into the lower 60s.
Low pressure will develop near the Texas panhandle tomorrow increasing the southerly winds and bringing partly cloudy skies into the area Tuesday. A cold front will drag across the region late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning bringing showers and thunderstorms. Rains will clear the area by Wednesday afternoon and dry weather is expected through Thursday.
The front will dissolve over the Gulf of Mexico into Friday and the onshore flow will return. Warm and humid weather is expected for most of the festival weekend with highs near 80 degrees Friday through Sunday. Only a slight chance for showers will be in the forecast for the weekend.
