Another Person Dies In An Iberia Hit-and-Run

An Iberia Parish man is dead after being struck by a vehicle in New Iberia.
The accident happened just after 7 this morning at the intersection of Anderson and Myrtis Street in New Iberia.
The 60-year-old victim was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police were able to locate and arrest 25-year-old Demar Benoit. He is facing a hit-and-run charge and other charges are still pending.
