DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (AP) - Authorities say a 40-year-old corrections officer assigned to the Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola has been arrested in a Livingston Parish home invasion case.
Lori Steele, Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, tells The Advocate Maj. Deujon Shane Worsham and two other people were arrested in an incident in which a man was beaten in his home in Denham Springs on May 1.
Deputies say Worsham and 42-year-old Steven Hunt, of Denham Springs, are accused of pushing their way into a home.
Worsham and Hunt were booked with home invasion, second-degree battery, criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing.
Deputies also arrested 38-year-old Omie Rebstock, who they said was present during the home invasion incident. Rebstock was booked on counts of criminal trespassing and as a principal to home invasion.
