Louisiana musical heavyweights, Dickie Landry and Sonny Landreth, will perform a benefit concert at the Hilliard University Art Museum on May 9th, sponsored in part by LMNOP, LLC, and UL Lafayette's College of the Arts and the Department of Visual Arts who recognized Landry as a distinguished alumnus in 2014. Landry, known for his pioneering work as an original member of the Philip Glass Ensemble and for utilizing quadrophonic delay systems with his saxophone, will partner up with Landreth, who has been described by Eric Clapton as one of the most advanced, and under-appreciated, guitarists in the world. Your ears will be treated to Landreth's prominent slide guitar melding with Landry's smooth saxophone style, engineered to perfection by Lafayette's own Tony Daigle.
Tickets are $25 for the general public and $15 for UL Lafayette students and can be purchased at the museum, over the phone (337-482-0817) or online at http://ullafayettefoundation.org/Events/Events.asp.
