If the rest of America didn't know what crawfish are, they do now. That's after 60 pounds of crawfish were presented live on American Idol to finalist Joshua Ledet.
Ledet hails from the small town of Westlake, LA, near Lake Charles. And this week the Louisiana Seafood Promotion and Marketing Board sent a huge bucket of crawfish to Ledet live on the show, after he had previously said he missed Louisiana food and crawfish during a segment of American Idol. Randol's in Lafayette provided the crawfish, and owner Fank Randol said they were happy to be part of the big surprise.
"This is just very special, to have someone on American Idol, looking toward the finals, anything we could do to bring Louisiana to the top, we're there," said Randol.
