The Lafayette man who was bonded out of jail by strangers after he allegedly vandalized the downtown 9/11 memorial is in trouble with the law again--this time for an unrelated warrant.
According to his booking sheet, Salvador Perez was arrested Friday morning on a fugitive warrant. Court documents say that Perez missed an August 20 arraignment on theft charges stemming from an alleged theft on March 30 at a local hardware store.
Perez is free on $500 bond. A new arraignment date has been set for December.
