Press Release, St. Martinville, La.-In the early morning hours of November 13, 2010, Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office were notified of an Armed Robbery at a business on Mills Hwy. The victim, a white male, left an establishment on Mills Hwy. in Breaux Bridge with a while female whom he had solicited for prostitution. When they entered a white truck in the parking lot, a black male suspect also entered the vehicle. Shortly after this occurred, the white female produced a knife and attempted to cut the throat of the victim. After a brief struggle, he was able to defend himself and he received cuts to his hand. Subsequently, the male suspect took the victim's wallet from his pocket. The victim attempted to flee the vehicle, however, was unable to due to a malfunctioning door. He was driven a short distance on Mills Hwy., where was he was dropped off. Prior to exiting the vehicle, he was able to retrieve his wallet and he noticed he had $1200.00 missing . The victim was treated and released from a local hospital for the injuries he sustained.
Following a brief investigation into the incident, the following two people were arrested and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the charges noted below:
