Lafayette and two more Louisiana cities have been added to state's Volunteer Louisiana campaign. In Lafayette, two volunteers, Nicholas Guillory and Lana Fontenot, were chosen to appear on billboards which will stay up for three months. A third billboard features Lt. Governor Dardenne who oversees Volunteer Louisiana and is an active community volunteer. The campaign is All We Need Is U, and it expands to Lafayette, Lake Charles and Monroe on February 25.

As part of the marketing campaign, Volunteer Louisiana created Show Us Your U, a statewide photo contest. Show Us Your U asks volunteers to upload photos to Volunteer Louisiana's Facebook page showing their volunteer efforts or service project in action. "National research shows that 62 percent of people volunteer simply because someone asked them. We believe these photos will inspire their friends, family and communities to get involved in solving local needs," Lt. Governor Dardenne said.

Participants in the photo contest will receive an All We Need is U sticker. Winners of Show Us Your U are selected weekly and receive an All We Need is U t-shirt and are featured on the Volunteer Louisiana website and Facebook page.
