Alexandria synagogue: rabbi's resumes didn't match

ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) - The synagogue in Alexandria has fired its rabbi for allegedly lying on his resume.
And the seminary where Jonathan L. Cohen said he had completed his studies - Ziegler School of Rabbinical Studies in Los Angeles says he was never ordained there.
Cohen had been a student rabbi for a year at Congregation Gemiluth (GEM-ih-looth) Chassodim (KHAHS-oh-deem).
Congregation president Marilyn Wellan tells KALB-TV (http://bit.ly/VOsO8Y ) the board did not renew Cohen's contract after learning that a resume he sent to a Seattle synagogue was "entirely different" from the one submitted to the Alexandria temple in 2011.
Cohen does not have a listed phone number and could not be reached for comment Tuesday. KALB reported that he didn't answer his front door or return the station's phone calls.
