ALBANY, La. (AP) - Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard says an Albany man pulled over on a traffic stop was arrested on eight counts of burglary.

Ard says that officers on patrol Dec. 12 arrested Ian Martin after finding suspicious objects in his vehicle. Among the objects, says Ard, was one believed taken in a burglary just a short time before the traffic stop.

Martin was booked at the Livingston Parish jail on eight counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and one count of illegal possession of a stolen firearm, Ard says.

Investigators are working to link recovered property to burglary victims. The sheriff says more charges are possible.
