BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Qualified Louisiana shrimpers are
eligible for up to $12,000 and technical training under a federal
program designed to help shrimpers in the Gulf of Mexico and South
Atlantic adjust to increased competition.
Individual shrimpers interested in applying for help through the
U.S. Departmtne of Agriculture's Trade Adjustment Assistance for
Farmers program must submit applications to their local farm
service agency by Sept. 23.
