On Thursday, May 1, AHS Walk-In Clinic hosted a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting for its new facility on Ambassador Caffery. The Broussard, Youngsville and Lafayette Chambers of Commerce, as well as clients and staff of AHS gathered to celebrate the opening of the new, 10,500-square-foot clinic.
The facility features two large lobby areas, a digital X-ray machine, twice the number of patient rooms and accommodates five additional staff members. These upgrades will improve AHS's operational efficiency and overall patient experience.
The state-of-the-art clinic offers service to walk-in and urgent care patients as well as occupational medicine services, including in-house lab and functional capacity testing services, job description-specific testing, pre-employment physicals, as well as drug/alcohol screenings.
"After 20 years in business, we're excited to finally be in a new, larger facility," says Christy Dillane, President of AHS. "We're growing to meet the rising demand for urgent care and occupational medicine services across Acadiana."
The bright, modern building is located at 6011 Ambassador Caffery and was designed by architect Kevin Gossen Architects and built by J. B. Mouton. AHS Walk-In Clinic accepts most private insurance and is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
