LAFAYETTE, La. - The Acadian Home Builders Association (AHBA) is proud to present the 51st Annual Parade of Homes showcasing the latest in home building design and products. This year's event will feature 30 newly constructed homes in 18 subdivisions in Lafayette Parish, all built by state-licensed AHBA builder members.
Houses included in the Parade exhibit the hottest trends in architecture, floor layout, building materials, and appliances. Some are also furnished by local interior designers with styles ranging from English Tudor to Mediterranean, French Country to Coastal Contemporary. Square footage and prices range from starter homes to estates.
The Parade of Homes is a self-guided tour where ticket holders can view as many homes as they like in any order they choose. Ticket purchases include the official Parade of Homes Guide Book which contains pictures and descriptions of each home, builder profiles, and a map.
"Whether you are looking to build, buy or just curious, the Parade of Homes is a great opportunity to see what's new in home building and interior design," said Phil Melancon, 2013 Parade of Homes builder and committee chairman. "Plus, you get the chance to speak directly with the builders, ask questions and discuss building your own dream home."
Tickets for the Parade of Homes are available during regular business hours at Lafayette locations of Doug Ashy Building Materials and at the AHBA office located at 135 N. Domingue Road in Lafayette. During Parade hours, tickets can be purchased in Copper Meadows subdivision on Highway 89 in Youngsville and The Village at Broussard subdivision on Pinhook in Broussard.
