Aggravated Burglary Suspect Arrested

Church Point police have arrested a suspect wanted for three burglaries at the same house near Mire. Officials say Martin Lee Laday, Jr., was arrested last night without incident. Acadia Parish sheriff's deputies say Laday broke into the home on December 28, 29, and 31. Investigators say the homeowner was present during the last burglary and fought with Laday, detaining him until deputies arrived. Laday was taken to a nearby hospital for head injuries, but when he was released, hospital personnel did not notify police. Laday is charged with aggravated burglary and is being held in the Acadia Parish Jail.
