The man authorities say was caught on tape breaking into a home in Acadia Parish is now charged with more burglaries and is facing an assault charge.
Dennis HankS,57, was arrested last week after he was identified in a homeowner's surveillance video. Initially, he was charged with burglary after authorities said he broke into a home on Bosco Highway. While in jail, he's since been charged with three more home burglaries.
Also, Hanks is facing two counts of aggravated assault. Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office spokesperson Maxine Trahan said Hanks pulled out a gun after he was confronted on someone else's property.
