Acadiana Youth Inc. Unveils New Logo as The Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth, Inc.
Lafayette, LA (Nov 16, 2009) - Acadiana Youth Inc. has announced the unveiling of its new logo to be introduced to the public at its eighth annual Acadiana Festival of Trees kick off on Wednesday, November 18 at 5:30 pm at Percy Guidry Hearth & Patio located at 6413 Johnston Street.
This year marks the 35th year of service for Acadiana Youth Inc. and during that time thousands of frightened and neglected children have found a safe and loving home in its programs where they could begin to heal and rebuild their young lives. "There was a lot of confusion in the community about what we do," AYI Executive Director Vicki Boudreaux said. "Many thought we were a sports organization. We're trying to let people know that what we do is shelters for children. The new name and logo will eliminate confusion and clearly illustrate the function of the organization."
The Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth reflects the belief of the organization as it defines itself as three shelters-one mission. "Our goal is simple: to provide every child with the safety, stability and compassionate guidance that every child deserves in order to develop into a whole and healthy adult" said AYI Board President, Keith Guidry.
The Acadiana Festival of Trees three day family event is the signature fundraiser of The Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth and is critical in order to raise funds necessary to sustain the organization's annual budget. The Event includes two family nights where "kids rock", a gala where "adults roll", and a cocktail brunch where "ladies rule". It's the best time in Acadiana to welcome in the holiday season.
The Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth invite you to join them in this celebration of change and encourage you to stay and enjoy the holiday activities of the Festival of Trees Family Night on Wednesday evening.
The mission of The Children's Shelters of Acadiana Youth, Inc is to provide a safe, loving home environment for abused and troubled youth, while offering a broad range of therapeutic, educational and recreational services.
