LAFAYETTE - Two Acadiana Technical College students from the T.H. Harris Campus in Opelousas and the Gulf Area Campus in Abbeville were named Outstanding Graduates during recent commencement ceremonies.
The award recipients include Dana M. Dupuis and Rosalind Young. They were selected by ATC/SLCC Foundation Board of Directors with assistance from campus administrators, faculty, and staff based on academic achievement and scholarship, honors and awards, campus organizations and activities, community service and activities, and future plans.
Dana Dupuis was named Acadiana Technical College's T.H. Harris Campus Outstanding Graduate. She is an ICT: computer network specialist graduate with a cumulative grade point average of 3.59.
Rosalind Young was named Acadiana Technical College's Gulf Area Campus Outstanding Graduate. She is a business office technology graduate with a cumulative grade point average of 3.8.
The annual Outstanding Graduate Award is sponsored by the ATC Foundation. The recipient is awarded with a personalized plaque and cash award.
ATC/SLCC Foundation Board of Directors include Rhyn Duplechain (president) of Opelousas, Randy Toepfer (vice president) of Eunice, Pat Theriot (secretary/treasurer) of St. Martinville, Vicki R. Alleman of Lafayette, Mayor Hilda Curry of New Iberia, Mable Foreman of Ville Platte, and Eric Robicheaux of Abbeville.
