All Lafayette Parish public school students will report to school one hour later than usual on Tuesday. School officials are concerned about it being dark and water being on the roadways while the buses are running. If your child rides a bus, they'll need to get to their stop one hour later. As a result, Lafayette Parish public schools will let out one hour later at the end of the day. As for those Carencro-based public schools that are closed Tuesday, custodians and administrators should still report to their buildings, if it is safe, to check the facility. Those closed public schools include Carencro Heights, Carencro Middle, Carencro High, Live Oak Elementary and Ossun Elementary.

Our Lady of Fatima School in Lafayette will still have school at the normal hours. If your child rides the bus for Lafayette Parish and arrives one hour late, they will NOT be counted tardy. Our Lady of Fatima will still get out of school at the normal time.

Cathedral Carmel in Lafayette will follow its regular school schedule tomorrow. NO buses will be used tomorrow. If you ride a bus, you will have to be dropped off and picked up.

STS Peter and Paul Catholic School in Scott will follow the same protocol as Lafayette Parish school and begin classes one hour later tomorrow.
