Residents in the town of Scott are dealing with power outages at this time.

According to Entergy official Liz Duhon, the outage is limited to customers north of Hwy 90. Crews are working on the problem and look to restore complete power within the next 2-3 hours. Local schools L. Leo Judice Elementary and Scott Middle are unaffected, while Westside Elementary is without power.

Lafayette Utilities System had 787 customers without power out between Bertrand and Cameron.

The outage started at 6:15 am and was caused by an Entergy line that had fallen. Crews restored the power after 20 minutes.
