In order to provide assistance to those affected by the recent floods in Acadiana, the Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (VOAD) has formed the Long Term Recovery Coalition. The following were elected: Polly Koury of the United Way and Kerry Stutes of the ASSIST Agency-Co-Chairs, Greg Jones of the City of Crowley -Secretary and Tony Creduer of the Red Cross and Mona Cravins with 232-Help/211-Members at Large.
The Committee will pool the resources of the nonprofit and religious organizations in the communities so that they can be used most effectively.
