Acadiana Day at the Capital

Acadiana Day at the Capital was held recently with representatives from Acadiana businesses, chambers of commerce, economic development organizations, tourism bureaus, government, and education institutions traveling to Baton Rouge for the event. Nearly 200 attendees from the seven parishes of the Acadiana region came together to present a collaborative effort to State Legislators on issues of importance to Acadiana businesses, organizations and citizens.

Organized by the Acadiana Economic Development Council (AEDC), the day's activities allowed participants an inside look at the State Legislature in session. Participants attended House and Senate committee meetings, enjoyed a luncheon with members of the Acadiana delegation, heard an update on pressing issues this session, and were recognized in both the House and Senate Chambers.
