Acadiana couple featured on BBC News for Airstream caravan rally

They're not just for holidays.

Some people live in a motor home full time, like two Acadiana residents who recently sold everything they own and hit the road in their Airstream.

Former Lafayette residents Vanette and David Harris were featured on the BBC News Sunday night for their new Airstream camper adventure lifestyle. The couple is part of an exclusive club for Airstream motor home owners, and BBC caught up with them at an annual gathering in South Dakota.

BBC News's Wendy Urquhart reports the iconic aluminium Airstream motor homes, some of which are more than 80 years old, were reportedly invented by a man whose wife refused to go camping without a kitchen. Airstream motor homes are still built today.
