Acadia Parish Safety Checkpoint

On October 28, 2009, Louisiana State Police - Troop I, will conduct a Safety Checkpoint on LA 35, within Acadia Parish. The checkpoint will take place from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Troopers will be aggressively looking for vehicles that are not insured and those vehicles could be towed or the drivers issued a citation. Troopers will also be looking other violations during the checkpoint.

These checkpoints are not to generate citations. Louisiana State Police are more concerned with motorist voluntarily complying with the Louisiana State Laws. The checkpoints will help to insure that you and your families are safe on Acadiana roadways.
