Acadia Parish Crimes

Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon stated that his office is investigating the following incidents:

04/03/11

-Theft of a birdcage and feeder taken from a residence on Dominic Loop near Egan.

-Tractor fire on White Oak Hwy near Eunice.

-Criminal damage to property on Coin Road near Rayne.

-Disturbance on Velma Court near Crowley.

-Theft of a bicycle from a residence on Cedar Park near Rayne.

-Structure fire on Hanks Pond Road. Crowley Fire Department responded.

-Residential burglary on Crowley Eunice Hwy near Eunice.
-Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle call and upon investigating the incident arrested the following individuals:

Jody Wooten, age 32, LaRue des Bernard, Carencro
Theft of Goods, Simple Burglary, Criminal Trespassing
Criminal Damage over $500
Bond was set at $55,817.50

Kimberly Wooten, age 28, La Rue des Bernard, Carencro
Theft of Goods, Simple Burglary, Criminal Trespassing
Criminal Damage over $500
Bond was set at $55,817.50

Geoffrey Futrell, age 43, La Rue des Bernard, Carencro
Theft of Goods, Simple Burglary, Criminal Trespassing
Criminal Damage over $500
Bond was set at $55,817.50

04/02/11

-Criminal damage to property on Riverside Road near Jennings.

-Residential burglary on Quarter Pole Road near Rayne.

04/01/11

-Truck on fire on Wild Turkey Road near Crowley. Lyon Point Fire Department responded.

-Theft of copper near Evangeline.

-Disturbance at a residence on Fournerat Road near Eunice.

-Motor vehicle theft from a residence on Quarter Pole Road near Rayne.

-Residential burglary on Carriere Lane near Church Point.

Acadia Parish Warrants Division has active warrants on the following individuals:

Christopher Richard Crowley LA
Thaddeus LeDay Church Point LA
Blair King Crowley LA

Sheriff Melancon is asking anyone with information on any of the incidents to contact the Sheriff's Office at 788-8700 or 911.
