Acadia man holds family hostage

Deputies and Swat Team members swarmed a house Sunday night after a report of a hostage situation involving a two year old child.
The Acadia Parish Sheriff's office was called out to 430 Roxie Highway at 4:30 after receiving a call that a man was shooting at his family.
Law enforcement blocked off the street south of Church Point at Highway 35.
44-year old Wayne Boudreaux was taken into custody following about 4 hours of negotiations.
At this time Boudreaux is facing aggravated assault with firearm and domestic battery 1st offense.
No bond has been set at this time.
