The City of Franklin will host a free seminar entitled 'The Building Blocks for Academic Success: Time Management, Study Skills and Test Taking' May 1, 2014, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Broussard-Harris Recreation Center.
Registration will take place in the Office of Community Development and by e-mail. Registration will begin April 1, 2014, and it will end April 30, 2014.
To register via e-mail, send an e-mail to email@example.com with your students' name, grade, age, mailing address, e-mail address, home phone number, cell phone number and "Academic Success" in the subject heading.
Enrollment is done on a first-come-first-serve basis according to the time and date on the e-mail. You will receive an e-mail confirming your enrollment.
This seminar is recommended for students who are at least 13 years old. "Students who are going off to college are encouraged to register. It will provide them with information to ease the transition. Those that are younger or are not going to college at this time will receive information to assist them in preparing for their final exams and knowledge that they can use the next school year," said Mayor Raymond Harris.
