Abbeville Firefighters to Unveil New Monument

Abbeville Firefighters will honor their own this Saturday. The department will unveil a new monument. It sits in front of the fire department at 210 West Vermilion.
The monument will honor approximately 58 firefighters from the Abbeville Fire Department who've either died or retired.
The honorees and their families are invited to join the public for a celebration and ceremony on Saturday October 30 from 10:00am-1:00pm at Knights of Columbus Hall next door to fire station.
The new monument cost $3,000. The firefighters had a raffle and sold engraved bricks to raise money earlier this year.
