Abbeville Fire Update

Firefighters in Abbeville say residents do not need to worry about hazardous materials; they were stored in another building that did not catch on fire. If you do live north of Abbeville, and have breathing problems, be aware the smoke is headed in your direction. Stay indoors and seek medical attention if needed. One firefighter and one local man was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation, and they are expected to be fine. Firefighters are still working to contain the fire, but it is under control.
