The Lafayette Parish School Board is faced with another full agenda when board members meet tonight.
They'll discuss insurance benefits for employees and partnering with the state for the process of allowing charter schools in the district.
During a meeting last month board members voted to table the decision until they can hold a workshop to learn more about charter schools. Superintendent Dr. Pat Cooper says the charter schools would reduce overcrowding and help improve education but critics say that can't be guaranteed.
They will also introduce an item that would allow for a one-time pay supplement for support staff.
The meeting starts at 5:30p.m.
