A Eunice High Speed Chase Ends With An Arrest

St. Landry Parish Sheriff deputy who was trying to conduct a routine traffic stop, got more than he bargained for.

A high speed chase began when the driver he was attempting to stop, refused to. The car that was being driven, was a stolen vehicle from Mamou.

The driver lost control during the chase and and crashed near the Crestview Apartments on Highway 13, just outside Eunice.

The driver, 18-year-old Corey Pitre, was also driving with a juvenile in the car.

Pitre was arrested at the scene. Charges have not yet been released.
