A Baby is recovering from a head injury in Sunset

A baby is recovering from a head injury in Sunset today. Her mother, Ashley Huval is charged with second degree cruelty to a juvenile. She's accused of negligence that caused bodily injury to her 8-month old daughter who struck her head against the wooden part of the sofa.

Huval didn't take the baby to the hospital for 7 hours. The child has eyelid bruises, side of the head fractures and swelling.
