8 accused of manufacturing meth

Tuesday, September 17, 2013, agents with the St. Martin Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit investigated a complaint of alleged illegal drug activity at a residence located in the 1000 Block of Duchamp Road in St. Martinville.

According to Major Ginny Higgins, while investigating, agents came into contact with an active clandestine laboratory "meth lab" inside the residence.

Eight people were removed from the residence for safety reasons and the active meth lab was dismantled by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office Haz-Mat Unit, St. Martin Parish Fire Department, and a private cleanup company, stated Higgins

The following eight subjects present in the residence were arrested:


Richard Fontenot, 40, Duchamp Road, Broussard

Jeremiah Richard, 25, South St. Mallory St, Abbeville

Victor Rivoire, 52, Fillia Drive, Lafayette



Geraldine Soto, 50, Federal Avenue, Morgan City

Jessica Aucoin, 36, Duchamp Road, Broussard

Amanda Francis, 32, Duchamp Road, Broussard

Grady Domino, 43, Daisy Lane, St. Martinville

Christina Soto, 33, Duchamp Road, Broussard


All eight listed above were charged with the following and booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center:

Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory for the Manufacture of Methamphetamine

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
