74-Year-Old Steals Identity of 87-Year-Old Friend

SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Authorities say a 74-year-old Shreveport
woman has been arrested for stealing the identity of her
87-year-old friend.
Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator says Dorothy Johnson was
arrested Friday for identity theft and theft of assets of an aged
person.
Prator said Johnson opened credit cards using the victim's
personal information and stole over $6,500 by using one of the
victim's credit cards.
He said Johnson and the victim were one-time friends and
neighbors, which provided Johnson with access to the victim's home
and personal information.
Johnson was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center and later
released on her own recognizance.
