7:45AM Update on Road Conditions from Officials

Law enforcement officials in all nine Acadiana Parishes (Acadia, Iberia, Evangeline, Lafayette, Jeff Davis, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, and Vermilion) tell KATC that no roads have been closed at this time. However, motorists are advised to drive with caution as there is high water on roads within some of these parishes.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office has issued high water advisories for the following roads:

Mills at Rue Scholastique
500 Janvier
3400 Verot School Road
Mills at Renaud
Heide at Roger
Garber Road (near Burger King)
Malapart at Lasa
Moss at Park Lane
Old Spanish Trail at L. Provost
500 Commercial
Facile at Tabb
100 St. Espirit
Prejean at Bridgeport
2100 Savoy
Gendarme at Waters
400 to 600 Gallet
Savoy from Gallet to Espasie
3500 blk of LA 339
N University in front of Pizzaville
Hernandez at Malapart
300 Gayle
Lagneaux from Breaux to Opus
Dugas at Shantel

There may be high water in other areas. A reminder to not drive onto a roadway that is covered with water as you may not know how deep it is. You should turn around and take an alternate route for your own safety.
