NEW ORLEANS (AP) - The state labor department has begun taking
applications for 500 temporary oil spill cleanup jobs.
The Louisiana Workforce Commission is taking the applications
for Advanced Industrial Services/GCPG Services International. The
company is hiring for duties that include debris removal and
placement of protective boom along shorelines.
The commission is taking applications at various locations in
New Orleans and in surrounding parishes. More information is
