5 Year Old Left On Lafayette Bus

A Truman Montessori student was left on a bus for almost 3 hours. The 5 year old had fallen asleep and woke up to an empty bus. The hot sweaty child pushed the door open and walked for a block before being discovered by a man who brought the child to his neighbor. There the female neighbor discovered an identification on the child in his backpack.
The father was contacted. He picked the boy up and brought him to school. The child was briefly there before being picked up by his mother.
Lafayette Parish School Board is investigating the incident.
