SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - About 42 Caddo Parish families are still
out of their houses while work continues at a natural gas well
where pressure rose to a dangerous level more than a week ago.
Authorities tell The Times of Shreveport that it will be at
least another day before the work is done.
About 125 houses were evacuated April 19. Most of the people
were allowed back last week, after air and water tested clean.
Those within a half-mile of the drilling site remain under a
voluntary evacuation until Resources Inc. stabilizes the well.
