Nearly 4 Thousand Dollars Worth of Crawfish Stolen

In St. Landry Parish, investigators are searching for the culprits who stole almost four thousand dollars worth of crawfish.
Mitch Olivier, St. Landry Crawfish owner says on March 22nd burglars broke into his Lawtell business.
"35 to 40 sacks of crawfish were stolen which is about 13-hundred pounds of the mudbugs," said Olivier.
With crawfish season starting late this year, Olivier believes it's a tough loss to lose so much crawfish.
"The prices are kind of high and the volume is kind of low. We're missing about three months of a six month season. This kind of loss really hurts," said Olivier.

St. Landry Parish deputies are investigating this incident.
Detectives are urging everyone to call St. Landry Crimestoppers if they have information that could lead to an arrest.
Crimestoppers phone number is 948-tips; all information providers will remain anonymous.
